Our 4-H Market Projects: Learning to Raise High-Quality Food
Are you a foodie? A lover of high-quality, locally-grown food? Or just want to support local Cuyahoga County 4-H members?
Purchase your high-quality, locally-grown food at the Livestock Sale at the Cuyahoga County Fair on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 7:00pm. In this annual event, 4-H members, who have spent a summer raising and nurturing their market projects in order to develop skills and knowledge in the area of production agriculture, offer their projects for sale. The goal of this project for all participating 4-H members each year is to bring healthy, consumable animals to the Livestock Sale for purchase by the public. Your participation in this sale is a tribute to 4-H youth – recognizing and rewarding the commitment, dedication and hard work of raising quality livestock. These skills are directly transferable to tomorrow’s leaders: seeing a project through from beginning to end, monitoring progress, going through an evaluation process, and finally, presenting the final product. This year, the auction includes the county’s best 4-H market project animals - one steer, chickens, turkeys, hogs, lambs, goat, quail and rabbits. Bid early and bid often! See you at the fair! Email Robin Peth-Pierce for complimentary tickets to the 2022 4-H Market Auction. Thanks to Mayor Robert Stefanik for his longtime support of the NR Homesteaders Club members at the Market Auction. We appreciate your support!
